Franny’s in Brooklyn Will Close This August

"Park Slope-Prospect Heights restaurant Franny’s is closing its doors next month after nearly 15 years on Flatbush Avenue.

It’s a major closing for Brooklyn — when owners Andrew Feinberg and Francine Stephens first opened it in 2004, it quickly became one of the few restaurants that brought Manhattanites over the bridge to dine. A seasonal menu of pastas and pizzas, particularly a clam onedrew a loyal fan base that made it one of the most heralded spots in the neighborhood, inspiring the need for a larger location and contributing to the borough’s reputation as a place to be taken seriously for dining."
